Supporting Local Charities

2022 - Community First Responders

First responders make a life-saving contribution to patients who dial 999 in their community. There are over 1,000 Community and Co-Responders supporting South Central Ambulance Service locally. CFR is made up of members of the public, fire service, police community support officers, coastguards and military responders. They are all volunteers who undertake training to be able to help the people in the community with the support of South Central Ambulance Service.

Because CFR only respond to emergencies in the area where they live or work, they aim to be at the scene before an ambulance. By starting life-saving medical treatment earlier CFR really do help save more lives.

They rely totally on charitable donations.
