Music and Christmas Carols

Our 2017 annual charity concert was in aid of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton Hospital. We were delighted to raise funds for this unit as on a personal note, Flute Group member Philippa Simmonds' little boy Monty received life saving keyhole surgery from them last year.
As usual the concert was well attended, and with audience participation and one of Margaret Jarvis's quizzes, the afternoon was a lot of fun.
This year we invited acapella singing group Straight Banana to join us in the entertainment. They sang beautifully and included in their programme the popular Christmas Carol 'Mary Did You Know' and also ' Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'.
To increase the amount raised we also did a spot of busking in Lymington on 23rd Dec.
